In the proactive reduction of emissions and consumption of physical resources Beacon Interim Management (BIM) will :-
- Use, where possible, energy from low carbon technology, such as renewable energy sources rather than from fossil fuel sources.
- Operate an office energy management system which closely monitors energy usage
- Operate as far as practicable paperless office systems
- Operate a 100% recycling policy on any unavoidable waste generated
- Minimising travel by use of alternative communications technologies
- Travel as far as practicable via the lowest carbon emissions method available.
- Implement ‘People’ solutions including education in efficient energy use and the development of a culture of energy awareness and accountability
- Procurement, which integrates low/renewable energy and carbon reduction into decisions regarding energy purchasing and the purchase of equipment and materials.
The Sustainable Development Policy will be reviewed and updated annually.
